Why Renaud Infra exists.
Most residential construction in India is unstructured. We were set up to do the same work with proper instruments. This page explains why.
01 · The problem
A building gets built. The paper trail does not.
You commission a residential build in Hyderabad. The contractor is introduced through a friend, the price is settled in a meeting, the payments happen by UPI to a personal account, and the materials arrive without bills. Eighteen months later you have a house — possibly a sound one — but no audit trail.
If something goes wrong in year three, there is nothing to fall back on. No agreement that defines scope, no vendor invoices that prove what cement grade was used, no record of who supervised the slab pour. The building stands; the documentation does not exist.
Most contractor work in this market runs that way. It is not malice — it is convention. But it is also why the segment has the reputation it has.
02 · The decision
Same work, proper instruments.
Renaud Infra was incorporated as a partnership firm on 26 March 2025 with one operating thesis: do exactly the same physical work that the rest of the market does, but run it on the same documentation that a listed company would expect.
That means GST registration before the first invoice. Workmen Compensation insurance for every worker on site. Banking-channel payments only — no cash above ₹10,000. Sub-contractor agreements written, signed, filed. A numbered template kit for every recurring document — quotations, agreements, indents, GRNs, snag lists — so every project has the same paper trail as the last one.
The premium is small. The protection is large.
03 · Deliberately small
We take fewer commissions, on purpose.
A construction firm that takes ten commissions a year cannot run them the way we run ours. Daily site reports stop being written. Snag lists pile up at the end instead of progressively. The site engineer becomes a phone-only manager.
We have decided to stay small enough that the Managing Partner is on every project, the GM Projects sees every site weekly, and the site engineer for your build is the same person from foundation to handover. That ceiling on volume is structural to the firm, not an aspiration we will grow out of.
04 · The relationship we want
Adult, transparent, contractual.
We work with clients who want a contractor they can verify, not one they have to trust on faith. If you want to ask for the cube test report on Slab 3 of your building two years from now, the answer should exist in a file with your name on it. That is the relationship we have set up the firm to support.
It is not for everyone. Some clients prefer the old way — handshakes, cash discounts, no audit trail. We are not going to convince them otherwise. We just say no, politely, and recommend a contractor who fits their preference.
05 · Where we go from here
A small portfolio, executed well.
Our anchor commission is a private G+7 residence in Kukatpally, commenced June 2025, with handover scheduled for 2026. We hold one or two trade-scope engagements alongside it. Over the next three years we will add commissions slowly, retain the same internal team, and prove the thesis: that the documented way of building is not slower, not significantly more expensive, and produces a better finished product.
Excellence, executed.
